Almaty Ring Road

As KIND’s first project and Kazakhstan no. 1 road PPP project, this project was awarded by creating a consortium that includes Korean companies SK Ecoplant and Korea Expressway Corporation, along with Turkish companies. KIND co-invested in the intermediate holding company (SPC) established by SK ecoplant.
The project holds significant value as it not only eased traffic congestion and boosted economic development in the Almaty region but also showcased the excellence of Korean construction technology and project management through early completion.

Poland

Police PDH/PP Plant

This project, a joint venture with Poland’s largest petrochemical group, involves constructing and operating propylene (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) production facilities, as well as a port and terminal in region Police region, Poland. It is the largest overseas construction project ever secured by a Korean company in the EU, marking a milestone in the region.

Trumbull Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant

As a project that constructs and operates a combined cycle gas power plant in Trumbull County, Ohio, the project received the “Power Deal of the Year” award at the “IJ Global Awards 2022,” highlighting its excellence in project financing (PF).

Hung Yen Industrial Park

As a project that operates the first Korean-style economic cooperation industrial complex in region Hung Yen region, about 30km away from Hanoi, KIND invested in the project to support the overseas contracting of Korean companies.

UT-1 Hydropower

As a project that constructs and operates a hydroelectric plant in the Trishuli River, about 70km away from Nepal’s capital of Kathmandu, it is a joint project by Korean companies and the International Financial Corporation (IFC) carried out in developing nations. KIND invested in the project to support Korean firms’ overseas contracts.

PMGD Portfolio Solar PV Power Plant

This project involves constructing and operating 15 solar power plants across central and northern Chile. KIND supported the overseas contracting and equipment export of Korean companies by investing in the project.

Botley BESS

As a project that constructs and operates a 50MW Battery Energy Storage System in Hampshire, UK, electricity produced in Botley will be stored through the BESS before it is stably supplied to the power grid of UK’s electricity generator National Grid. It produced the contracting of EPC and O&M by Korea construction companies, supporting the expansion of Korean companies in the rapidly developing European ESS market.

Widow Hill BESS

As a project that constructs and operates a 70MW Battery Energy Storage System in the UK Burnley region, KIND supported the contracting of the second UK BESS project for Korean construction companies. The growing demand for renewable energy has led to an increased need for Energy Storage Systems (ESS). In this market trends, the project plays a crucial role in not only supporting Korean construction companies in securing overseas contracts but also in contributing to the growth of renewable energy.

Tanajib CHP Plant

This large-scale project includes constructing a seawater desalination plant with a daily capacity of 24,000 tons and a cogeneration power plant producing 940MW of electricity and 1,100 tons of steam. It contributed to One Team Korea in expanding to Saudi Arabia which is currently diversifying its industry preparing for the post oil era.

Chicago Hotel

In this project, a Korean hotel company acquired and remodeled a business hotel previously operated by a global hotel chain, rebranding it under its own name. KIND co-invested in the project, helping the hotel company register as an overseas construction firm and expand its global operations. The project also supported the export of Korean tourism, accommodation, and cuisine through the entrance of Korean brands and restaurants.

Philippines

Cebu Affordable Housing

This project involves constructing and distributing 3,171 units of low-cost housing in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu with Saekyung Group, which as many performances of undertaking similar housing projects after expanding to the Philippines in 2010. As KIND’s first example in starting from the initial feasibility study to participate in business development and investment resolution, it also has the significance of corresponding with the pledge of the local government which aims to expand low-cost housing to stabilize housing for citizens.

Indonesia

Probolinggo Port

As a bonded warehouse project located at the rear of the Port of Probolinggo in eastern Java, it was joint-developed and invested by the Korindo Group and Busan Port Authority. It aimed to develop a substitute port to solve the congestion problem in the nearby Port of Surabaya, where we are contributing to reducing logistics fees and competitiveness of export cargo through harbor loading, land transportation, and warehouse storage.
