About KIND
Purpose of Establishment
KIND was established to overcome weakened competitiveness caused by a reliance on simple construction contracts and to promote the high value-added growth of overseas construction through “PPP (Public-Private Partnership) Projects.”
Background of establishment
The need for a “One Team Korea” platform to systematically support the expansion of Korean companies into overseas markets has arisen.
Basis of establishment
"Article 28-2, Chapter VII of the “Overseas Construction Promotion Act”
“The Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) may establish Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND)to support overseas infrastructure and urban development projects.”
Role
“All stages of the business cycle from business discovery to development, investment, and financial support are organically supported while playing the role of co-developer and co-investor of overseas PPPs.”- Analysis of overseas PPP trends and policies
