KIND Launches Official Website for "K-City Network Global Cooperation Program"
- Establishing an online platform to provide integrated information on overseas smart city cooperation -
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND), and the Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement (KAIA) are launching the official website for the "K-City Network Global Cooperation Program" on January 27.
The initiative leverages Korea's experience in smart city development and operation to strengthen international cooperation and support Korean companies in entering overseas markets.
The newly launched website provides comprehensive information in both Korean and English, including:
▲Program Introduction ▲Project Status by Country ▲Participation Guidelines (for Planning & Overseas Demonstration projects) ▲Official Announcements
The platform is designed to help foreign governments, international agencies, and Korean companies easily understand and utilize the program.
Notably, it features an inquiry response system and provides intuitive updates on project progress and key achievements, which is expected to enhance communication and information accessibility for both domestic and international partners.
The K-City Network program identifies high-potential projects by establishing smart city plans and solution strategies based on G2G (Government-to-Government) cooperation. By providing step-by-step support through to the demonstration phase, the program aims to spread Korean smart city expertise and assist Korean firms in entering the global urban development and smart city markets.
MOLIT and KIND plan to continuously upgrade the website’s information services and application management functions. They also intend to gradually expand the program's brand awareness and utility by strengthening communication with overseas cooperation partners.
