The Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (CEO Kim Bok-hwan, hereinafter KIND) announced on the 7th that it has obtained ISO 37001 (anti-corruption management system) certification from the Korea Management Certification Institute with a corruption prevention, detection, and response system.

ISO 37001 is an international standard for anti-corruption and ethical management established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which comprehensively evaluates and certifies a company's corruption risk management capabilities and anti-corruption efforts.

KIND has been making efforts to check and actively communicate corruption factors that may occur in the process of promoting work by expanding daily audits and operating a pre-consulting audit system, and such preemptive preventive activities have been positively evaluated.

The acquisition of ISO 37001 certification is expected to serve as an opportunity for KIND to inform internally and externally that it has a transparent and trusted anti-corruption management system as a leading specialized institution in overseas investment development projects.

KIND is promoting overseas business in cooperation with various stakeholders such as Multilateral Development Bank (MDB), foreign governments, and institutional investors, said Kim Bok-hwan,  CEO of KIND. "This certification is a meaningful achievement in which KIND's clean and transparent management will has been recognized externally."

Meanwhile, KIND operates an integrity mileage system to encourage autonomous and active integrity activities for executives and employees, and also implements an active administrative immunity system to prevent them from shrinking in the process of performing their duties, and strives to spread integrity and active administrative culture.
